Happy Monday readers (if there is such a thing). We’ve got a quick piece of news to share with you today about the new Rampage arcade game.
As you might recall, Dave & Busters received a new age version of Rampage in March. This is based upon the classic arcade game of the same name but designed for videmption play. It hit just in time for the movie, which domestically has made about $90 million the last I checked. If you have visited a Dave & Busters location in the past month or two, chances are you have come across this one.
If you were hoping to see the game show up in a wider variety of places then you are in luck. I found out today from a distributor that Adrenaline Amusements is targeting a June release for market at large. It was uncertain whether or not the game would enjoy such a thing as Dave & Busters has enjoyed permanent exclusives in the past such as with the Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Robots and Spider-Man Homecoming. Tomb Raider on the other hand is supposed to be shipping out to other locations this month, with Rampage now right behind it.
I was also sent this flyer with text (“for a chance to win the bonus”) that indicates that it will remain a videmption title. We haven’t been seeing many flyers for new games as of late so it’s kind of nice to get this:
One interesting thing I noticed about this flyer is that “Amusements” has been removed from Adrenaline’s logo…could just be an early version with this mistake as their website still shows the traditional logo.
What do you think about this upcoming release?
