Hyperkin have announced their latest retro console, in the Hyperkin Retron Jr. It will play GameBoy, GameBoy Colour and Game Boy Advance games in 720p on your TV.
The console is a quite unique box shape, and features one large slot that will accept any of the cartridges above. You can connect the system up via HDMI to display these older games on your TV in 720p, similar to that additional feature the GameCube had back in the day. You also get a 3mm jack for headphones and a USB-C port on the front of the box. The console will play games via emulation but the cartridges are still required.
We don’t yet know a release date for the Hyperkin Retron Jr.
