I meant to get to this yesterday when it was “fresh” on the newswires, but was sidetracked in some video editing and other busy work.
Back in July, we reported that Sega Amusements had begun shipping their sequel to the Transformers: Human Alliance out to locations in the West, Transformers: Shadows Rising. With the existence of The House of the Dead Scarlet Dawn, it seems that it has been a little tougher for something like TSR to get noticed, although it does cover a different segment of the market that Scarlet Dawn doesn’t (quite a bit cheaper and non-gory gameplay).

This week, Sega issued a press release to remind operators that Scarlet Dawn isn’t the only new shooter that is available on the Sega arcade roster. This included some images of the game units loaded onto a truck bed and of the cabinet on location. It also has a reminder that the game will be at IAAPA in just a couple of weeks. I haven’t seen this one out in my area yet, but perhaps after IAAPA (and the Bumblebee movie coming to theaters), more locations will be adding one. Here are the pics, then the press release:

If you have had the chance to play this one already, what did you think about it?
