Released a decade ago, the Five Nights At Freddy’s series has become an icon in popular culture, culminating in the movie that was released this past October. While it has already been released as a VR game for home, now it is bringing that immersion to arcades with a brand new virtual ride.
Five Nights At Freddy’s: Help Wanted!
Take the night shift, and bring the world of FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S into your location!
Those familiar with the VR motion ride niche of the arcade business, knows how lucrative those games can be. Virtual Rabbids, King Kong of Skull Island, and Storm VR have all founds themselves topping the charts of various arcades where they have been installed – now they’ll have to compete with the power of the FNAF franchise.
The cabinet follows a design aesthetic that is close to Storm VR, although with red accents that are along the lines of King Kong.
Per the press kit we were sent, here are the primary features. They like their exclamation points:
- 4 arcade exclusive chapters with scary turns and twists!
- Show Me Your Hands
gesture tracking technology for Best-In-Class VR interactivity!
- High quality headsets mean more earnings and less vomit to scrape off of the seats!
- Rump Thump
motion seat technology with 3 DOF!
- Gale Force
wind effect system gives a punch to every scare!
- Bug Zapper
UV-C light auto-sanitization system kills hordes of germs (most of the bad ones, at least!)
- Gotta Attract ‘Em All
interactive attract mode with animatronic back piece that talks, blinks, and chomps!
- Suspenseful elements and multiple endings ensure your guests ALWAYS COME BACK!
- TICKET redemption option with a jackpot awards players for surviving the depths of Freddy’s pizzeria!
- Built for E-Sports professional play!Bilk those customers for all they are worth!
- A certain local competitor removed your animatronics? Take advantage of our free real free-roaming animatronic kit of choice with the purchase of 2 units!
They also mention working with a “well-known and established manufacturer,” but decline to say who at this point. I can’t imagine that Raw Thrills would be the one, given that they just released three VR games. You never know these days. Production must be underway however, as units are expected to begin shipping on April 31st. MSRP is $55,555, so I guess they’re taking that five thing a little seriously.
What do you think about this one from the info provided so far?
