SEGA has just announced that their new Mini Mega Drive / Genesis games console will be released in September of this year!

It will launch worldwide on the 19th September (around a year since the previous delay) and will will be priced at 6,980 yen (approx. $70 USD) or 8,980 yen (approx. $90 USD) if you want the multiplayer option with two controllers.
The console will include 40 classic SEGA Mega Drive / Genesis games, with the first 10 for Japan now confirmed (via Gematsu). The games list is expected to be different for Europe and North America and it has also been confirmed that the genius team at M2 worked on the software (not At Games then!)
The 10 announced games for the Japanese release are:

Sonic the Hedgehog 2
Puyo Puyo Tsu
Shining Force
Vampire Killer
Gunstar Heroes
Comix Zone
Rent A Hero
Space Harrier II
Madou Monogatari I

More details will be revealed on the 18th of April on the Famitsu live stream.
