October 2026 PINcast

Nothing generates more news from across the industry than the annual Pinball Expo, so join Martin and Jonathan as they bring you all the excitement, the announcements, and the inside information in the latest October 2026 edition of the Pinball Industry News PINcast.

While every major manufacturer had a stand at Pinball Expo to exhibit their latest products, Martin and Jonathan visited Spooky Pinball, American Pinball, Jersey Jack Pinball and Stern Pinball to get all the news from them before the show, the seminars and factory tours began.

Stern Pinball traditionally announce their new ’Remastered’ game just before Expo so they can feature it on their factory tour and then bring it to the show floor.  This year, however, delays in getting licensor approval meant that AC/DC Remastered could be announced with a partial reveal, but the game couldn’t be shown to, or played by, the public.

Despite that, after hosting their regular Expo factory tour, Stern Pinball held three seminars back at the show, with the design teams from the three previous Stern titles – Fallout, Transformers: More Than Meets The Eye and Pokémon – explaining their creative inspirations and design processes.

Meanwhile, American Pinball presented the Ringmaster Edition of their Cirqus Voltaire Reimagined game, first at a pre-show open house and then at Pinball Expo with an impressively vibrant stand showcasing their new release alongside a selection of previous titles.

Two companies announced what their next games would be, without actually revealing any details.

Dutch Pinball confirmed the long-standing rumours by teasing their Back to the Future game which is due to enter production in Q2 2027, while Spooky Pinball also surprised almost nobody by announcing The Goonies as their next release, with a full reveal later this month.

Jersey Jack Pinball held a seminar at Expo at which Steve Ritchie thanked the many team members who collaborated on his most recent design, Sonic the Hedgehog.  He then announced that the game would be his final coin-op pinball, as he retires and moves to the warmer climes of Reno, Nevada.

Thanks to Martin and Jonathan, you can watch this and all the other presentations from the Pinball Expo Seminars Room on the Pinball News website and Pinball News Videos YouTube channel in a special Pinball Expo 2026 playlist.

There were also seminars by Barrels of Fun Pinball talking about the company’s plans, their latest Bon Jovi game, the Pinball at Sea cruise and their upcoming factory tour, Multimorphic explaining how they created Dungeon Crawler Carl and Ender’s Game, and Turner Pinball looking at the creative team behind their Yukon Yeti game.

Martin and Jonathan also bring you news of developments at Chicago Gaming with new Scorbit integration for Pulp Fiction and potential new lower-end remakes at an attractive price point.

But there’s still much more to report in this month’s PINcast, including the latest code releases, a new pinball documentary you can watch right now, news of hotel rooms for the 2027 Pinball Expo and tournament entries for the 2027 Texas Pinball Festival, plus a big look ahead to what we can expect at the Dutch Pinball Open Expo which takes place in mid-November near Eindhoven.
